Kambo is a secretion from a tree frog in the upper Amazon rainforest. It has been used by tribes in the area for thousands of years. To harvest, it is tied up by the limbs and gently rubbed to stimulate the secretion which is collected on a stick. The process is harmless if done with care. Traditionally it has been used to boost the immune system and energy levels for hunters, as a treatment for infections, bites and illnesses and to clear energetic build up of the impacts of life experience and dense energy on the energetic system.
Kambo contains a complex combination of bioactive peptides. Peptides are made of amino acids and are the building blocks of proteins, which are an essential ingredient for life. A bioactive peptide means the amino acid chain performs a specific function with positive impact on the human body. Kambo, containing these peptides, enters the body and the cell receptor sites open to the familiar substances, allowing them in without stress or further processing. This allows for the medicine to penetrate deeply and allows for deposits left from foreign substances to be flushed out of the cells with the opening of the receptors. Different peptide families effect different parts and functions of the body.
These are some of the peptide and neuropeptide families found in Kambo.
Caeruleins family- effects smooth muscle contractions, reduces blood pressure, modifies satiety, sedation and thermoregulation. Also a potent analgesic.
Bradykinins family- hypotensive, long lasting reduction in blood pressure.
Tachykinins family- affects salivary glands, tear ducts, intestines and bowels. Also a powerful vasodialator which stimulates gastric secretions.
Bombesins family- effects central nervous system and stimulates gastric secretion and smooth muscle contraction.
Sauvagine family- potent opiate like effects, effects pulmonary ventilation and pituitary hormone release.
Tryptophyllins- potent against candida
Dermaseptin family- powerful antimicrobial, contains adenoregulin which is a peptide that effects the receptor site responsible for human cell fuel and is effective against cancer.
Deltorphin family- hepapeptide with high affinity for delta opioid receptor sites.
